What is Tadasana?

     Tadasana is also known as palm tree pose. Palm tree in Sanskrit is called tad and asana means yoga pose so the name of the pose is tadasana.

How to do?

Benefits of Tadasana
  • Increases height: Its very beneficial to growing children since it streches the body from toes to fingers. Children should be taught to do this asana without fail.
  • Good for muscles and nerves: Streching helps better functioning of various body parts especially the muscles and nerves.
  • Treat sciatia: Those with sciatia(lower back pain) can also do this yoga to get relief from back pain.
  • Enchances concentration: It is good to imprve balance and concentration as well as increase alertness.
  • Strengthen lower legs: This yoga pose can strengthen the ankles, toes, knees, abdomen, buttocks and lower part of the legs.
  • Weight loss: Entire body gets streched by this yoga pose and it helps in dealing with weight issues also.
  • Reduce flat feet: This yoga pose helps to reduce flat feet.

     Over and above it increases awareness, improves blood circulation, helps with digestion, removes dullness and depression and body stays refreshed and rejuvenated by this yoga pose.

Caution

     Those with heart disases, extreme back pain, vertigo, varicose veins, shoulder problems or any problems in leg muscles or shouldn't try this yoga pose.
