Jaya Yoga is one of the yogas mentioned in B.V. Raman's 300 Important Combination. Jaya means victory in sanskrit. This yoga is known to grant victory, fame and success to an individual.
Jaya Yoga is formed when
- Lord of sixth house is debilitated.
- Lord of tenth house is exalted.
Sixth house is house of enemies. When its lord is debilitated than that means enemies and competition are weak. And tenth house is the house of career and fame. When tenth lord is exalted than that can bless individual with great career accomplishments and fame.
According to B. V. Raman those with Jaya Yoga can be happy, victorious over their enemies, successful in all their ventures and long-lived.
Astrolocial concepts may have been designed after thorough considerations. Concept of Jaya Yoga is sensible as sixth house lord being debilitated means enemies are weak. And tenth house lord being exalted means good career fame and standing.
And yet there are those who receive ever lasting fame inspite of strong sixth house and a weak or afflicted tenth house. Shri Krishna and Shri Ram are the biggest examples both of whom have strong sixth house or sixth lord. Even Elon Musk has exalted sixth lord. Its safe to assume that sixth house or its lord having strength can grant a better Jaya Yoga than perhaps the normal definition prescribed in astrological books.
